Romans 7:15, Yield Not to Temptation for Yielding Is Sin!
Romans 7:15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
The Apostle Paul testified that he hates sin. He tells us there is a spiritual vigilance within him to keep pure. This is intense in that he understood the ravages and deceitfulness of sin. He would not want sin to overcome and overwhelm him. In fact, he would not allow the taint of any sin to take control of his life.
The book of Proverbs is filled with good warnings for the Christian not to yield to temptation – “My son, if sinners enticed thee, consent thou not.” (Prov. 1:10) The practical situations throughout the book to show clearly what the Christian should hate and what he is to do. The writer Solomon makes the call to his readers to embrace the call of wisdom at the onset of the book. Here, briefly outlined:

- It’s silence
- Complete Protection in Embracing God’s Wisdom (Prov. 1:33)
