Romans 11:13, High Privilege of Gospel Blessings
Romans 11:13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
The Apostle Paul’s calling is to be the messenger of the gospel to the Gentiles. This is Christ’s appointment for his life. This is the record of Paul’s call. It is a message carried to him by Ananias.
Acts 9:15-16 But the Lord said unto him (Ananias) Go thy way: for he (Paul) is a chosen vessel unto me (Christ), to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: 16 For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake.
The Apostle Paul fulfilled his calling with distinction. God’s grace abide with him. He is reminding his readers that he fulfilled his role as the apostle to the Gentiles. They have benefitted from the blessings of the gospel through Paul’s ministry. He was leading them to understand that he was a part of God’s redemption and carried the gospel torch in his lifetime. As we survey the Book of Acts, we observe the record of God’s hand leading the Apostle Paul to fulfil His mission.
We are partakers of gospel blessings because many generations of Christians poured out their lives in sharing the gospel in their lifetime. May we forget not our gospel debt. God bless you to fulfill Christ’s Commission with distinction. Amen.
