Romans 13:4, Minister of God to Thee for Good
Romans 13:4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
Human government is ordained by God to bring civil order in society. By its vested authority, civil government is entrusted to execute judgment upon the law-breakers. Therefore, all who breaks the law must face judgment which is the consequence of breaking the law. This, the Apostle Paul, says is the will of God. By the careful duty of law enforcement agencies, all members of society are protected from evildoers.
Christians are to submit and subject themselves to the authority of human government. They are not above the law but must fear the consequence of breaking the law of the land. And hence, live to glorify God by obeying civil authority.
As such, for our working adults, care must be taken to serve God in our workplace with a good testimony. Any action that breaks the law and put in jeopardy the Christian testimony must be shunned. May God protect His people from all evil. Amen.
