Lord’s Day, Vol. 4 No. 37
(1) Great Truths in Simple Words
God is very kind to us. It is He who gives us our daily provisions: food to eat, clothes to wear, and a roof for shelter. He knows our needs and provides for us accordingly.
It is God who makes the sun to shine, to warm us; We love to see pretty flowers and it is God who has made flowers; We like to hear the sweet music of birds and God has made birds to cheer us.
We enjoy the sweet fruits that grow in the garden but we must not forget that it is God who has given us all these good things.
God is kind to all living creatures. God takes care of them. If He did not keep them and feed them, from day to day, they would perish.
God loves those who love Him; but He is kind even to the wicked. He makes the sun to shine for all. He thinks of them, though they do not think of Him.
Let us think of God and thank Him for His goodness, and ask Him to help us love Him more.
God is wise. He knows all things. No one can tell God any thing new. When there were no angels, nor men, nor sun, nor stars, nor the world, He knows all the people who would ever live after the world should be made. He knew you then, just as He knows you now; for there is nothing new to Him.
He knows all the words you and I have spoken today, and all the words we ever have spoken. He knows all we think, and what we have ever thought about, and knows what we shall ever think about so long as we live. He knows all that have been done in the world by all the men, and women, and children, who ever lived in it.
It is not hard for God to know all these things, and He knows much more than I can tell, or you can think; for nothing is too hard for Him.
When we know any thing, it is because we have been taught; we learn them little by little. But God knows all things by Himself. No one could be the teacher of God.
God is very willing to make us wise, if we would ask Him to. He has given us His holy book, the Bible, to teach us true wisdom.
Even a child, who has not yet learned to read, may ask God for wisdom. God is kind, as well as wise; and He loves to hear the prayers of His children.

(2) Gospel Rally
Thank God for bringing six new visitors to BHBPC Gospel Rally on 4 September 2016. Of the six, three are non-believers. And of the three non-believers, two received the Lord. We are praying that God be merciful to save the third visitor. Indeed, it is our privilege to fulfill the Great Commission of making disciples of all nations. We begin in our locality with members and friends inviting their loved ones, friends, classmates and colleagues.
The gospel message “Who is Christ Jesus?” is taken from Hebrews 1:1-4.
1 God who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; 4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
Many of life’s mysteries can be solved if we would be willing to listen and believe in the truth that answers the question: Who is Jesus Christ?
Jesus Christ is the living and true God (Heb. 2:9; 3:1). He is firstly, the Creator. We owe our existence to Him. He is the Creator of the universe.
Secondly, He is the Sustainer of the universe, the Sustainer of our life and livelihood.
Thirdly, He is our Saviour who gives us eternal life in heaven, when we repent of our sins and trust in Him. After death, believers escape the judgment of hell fire because Jesus has washed away all our sins by His death on the cross and His resurrection from the dead three days later.
Jesus Christ is men’s greatest security for this life and the greatest security of the mystery of life beyond death. Let His Name be greatly praised! Amen.
Yours lovingly,
Pastor Lek Aik Wee
