1 Corinthians 7:16, Salvation of Thy Husband and Thy Wife?

1 Corinthians 7:16 For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?

Here is highlighted the possibility of the unbelieving partner getting converted. This should be reason enough for the believing partner to seek to persevere to keep and prosper the marriage. By a good testimony and influence, perchance, God opens his or her spiritual eyes.

However, when the separation is invoked, the believing partner can no longer be a sanctifying influence. It is because we cannot know if God will not save that the believing partner is admonished to remain steadfast to keep the marriage.
