1 Corinthians 9:21-23, This I Do for the Gospel’s Sake

1 Corinthians 9:21-23 To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law. 22 To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. 23 And this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.

The Apostle Paul speaks of God’s enabling that allows him to adjust himself to the custom and culture of the people that he was reaching out to. His willingness to stake all for the gospel is worthy of our example. He was obedient to God’s call for his life. And he speaks of the reward of being a partaker of eternal life and heavenly blessings like all who have truly believed in Corinth.

What a purposeful life the Apostle Paul led. His all-consuming desire was to please his Master Jesus Christ who sacrificed Himself for him. He was a partaker divine blessings bestowed upon him by his Master.

2 Timothy 3:10-11 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.

Indeed, the harvest is plenteous and the labourers are few, pray the Lord of harvest will send forth His labourers into His ripe harvest field. Amen
