1 Corinthians 15:28, Subdued Under Him
1 Corinthians 15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
This world seemed to be running amok. There is a sense that things go out of control, out of order. We hear of wars and rumours of war. There seemed to be no true peace. The day is coming when Jesus Christ has to return to bring order to His created world. For all who know Him as Saviour, it will be a day of rejoicing. But for those who do not know Him, it is a day of wailing.
Revelation 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
It is God the Father who sends His Son for the work of redemption and consummation at the end of the age. Christ is subject to the Father as the Apostle Paul explained, though both are of the Godhead. And so, when the disciples asked when will the kingdom be restored to Israel, referring to the Millennial Kingdom, it is told to them that it is the God the Father’s prerogative:
Acts 1:6-7 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
Believers are taught to pray to the Father that His kingdom may soon come. At that time, true peace will be restored on earth. Amen.
