1 Corinthians 15:40, The Glory of the Celestial

1 Corinthians 15:40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

The celestial or heavenly bodies differ from the terrestrial or earthly bodies. There is a difference in terms of their quality. The heavenly body is far superior to the earthly body. The resurrection body is superior to the earthly body.

This is the hope of the believer as one age and sees the decay of the earthly body. God will create anew a superior body for every believer. To the believer, there is no loss for him in the final equation in the light of eternity because God has promised to him a glorified body that will not decay and wear out like the earthly body.

May the hope of the resurrection of the dead bring peace and comfort to His people. Amen.
