1 Corinthians 15:42-44, Raised a Spiritual Body
1 Corinthians 15:42-44 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
The contrast is made to highlight the glory of the resurrection body of the saints at the last day. He uses the words “incorruption, glory, power, spiritual body” to describe the glorified body given to the believer when the Lord returns.
It predicts the blessed hope of the believer with the glorified body and its glory. What a future to look forward to! Many often lament as they see their body weakening and perishing away with the flow of time. But the resurrection of the dead by the power of God has put a stop to this impasse. Believers in the Lord Jesus Christ can look forward to possessing a glorious spiritual body.
What a relief and privilege to know that there is the promise of a spiritual body to all born-again believers. Amen.
