1 Corinthians 15:52-53 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

What an elusive word “immortality”! An impossibility. How could mortal man put on immortality? Death is still an impossible impasse today. The best scientists together could not prolong life beyond the limit of 120 years old given in Genesis 6:3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

God, by His infinite power, will enable mortal man to put on immortality. Faith in Jesus Christ brings us to this future reality. What consolation and comfort for all believers.

We are ready for this blessed transformation. Lord, may you come quickly! Amen.
