1 Corinthians 15:57-58, Therefore, My Beloved Brethren
1 Corinthians 15:57-58 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
It is with great rejoicing that the people of God give praise to the power of the gospel to save lost souls. It is first of all imbibed then lovingly offered to others. And the exhortation is that the people of God be kept strong in the Lord and be kept strong fervently serving the Lord.
Steadfastness in faith is the injunction to God’s people that they may receive the rewards of faith by standing firm upon the Word of God as revealed in the Holy Scriptures. The labour of love of God’s people will not be in vain as Solomon said in Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
May the Lord help His people to take hold of eternal life by faith and through faith serve Him till He comes again. Amen.
