Know the Truth of Man’s Origin
Genesis 1:1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. (Gen. 1:1 KJV)
26And God said,Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. (Gen. 1:26-27 KJV)
When God made the universe, the earth was the focus! When God made the earth, man was the focus! Man was made to have dominion over all of God’s creation on earth. Man only, out of all of God’s creation, is specially made in the image of God. When we look at the human body and the world around us, we see the work of a Grand Designer, there are beauty and order in creation.
The earth and the planets in the solar system move in their designated orbit. The orderliness of the vast universe gives testimony to a great God as the Creator and Grand Designer!
7And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.(Gen. 2:7 KJV)
The Chinese character for “create” is “造”. It is interesting to observe this Chinese character provides a graphic illustration of the Bible record that man is created by God. Man’s first existence is told in Genesis 2:7. Man is fearfully and wonderfully made by the God of heaven. And the LORD God formed man of the dust“土”of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils “口”，and man“丿” became a living soul“辶”.
18And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. (Gen. 2:18 KJV)
God made the first woman Eve as a companion for Adam, the first man. Eve was made out of the rib of Adam. The ancient Chinese, interesting, calls a man’s wife his “内人” because she came from inside him, his own flesh “ 肉”.
21And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;22And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.23And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.(Gen. 2:21-22KJV)
It was God who instituted the first marriage between a man and a woman – 24Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. 25And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed. (Gen. 2:24-25 KJV)
Marriage was ordained of God for companionship and procreation.
27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.28And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.(Gen. 1:27-28KJV)
God provided the fruits of the tree and herbs for our physical sustenance – 29And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.30And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.(Gen. 1:29-30 KJV)
Today, the very foundation of human society is being threatened. Marriage is being proposed by the perverted human mind to be between a man and a man, and a woman and a woman. This overturns the very purpose of God for the creation of mankind. Imagine, within one generation, the human race can be wiped out, without procreation! The Bible records of God’s judgment by fire from heaven upon the ancient cities of Sodom and Gomorrah for exactly the same sin or perversion of homosexuality during the time of Abraham – 20And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;… 24Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; (Gen. 19:20, 24 KJV)
The world today awaits a fearful coming of judgment – 7But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. (2 Pet. 3:7 KJV) Men need to be awakened to the perils of their souls. God’s plan of salvation for mankind is through Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the Son of God, who entered human history more than 2000 years ago in the land of Israel. Jesus is fully God and fully man, the only Mediator between God and man. Jesus died for our sins on the cross and rose again the third day for our justification – 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Rom. 10:9-10 KJV) May the Lord bless His truth to our hearts. Amen.
