2 Corinthians 6:7; By the Power of God
2 Corinthians 6:7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,
The Apostle Paul expressed the Source of his strength when he said, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” He was a man consecrated to Christ, therein Christ’s power was manifested in his life, testifying in Galatians 2:20 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.“
Such a man wholly given to his Master finds a life of fruitfulness as Jesus explains in John 15:7-11 “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.” There is fullness of joy in such a life.
Truly, as the psalmist expressed the secret of a fruitful life, Psalm 20:7 “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.” Let us seek the Lord first! May the Lord bless this day for His glory.
