2 Corinthians 10:17; Let Lim Glory in the Lord

2 Corinthians 10:17 But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

Let the Lord’s Name be praised in all our endeavours. Let Him have the preeminence. Let Him receive the glory due unto His Name. Truly, every man at his best state is altogether vanity. (Psalm 39:5). Let each man search his heart if he is in the Lord. That will be true glory. The “weightiness” of eternal life is a measureless privilege.

Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

So that we may say as the hymn written by Charles H. Gabriel “O That Will Be Glory” extols in the completion of our earthly work:

  1. When all my labours and trials are o’er,
    And I am safe on that beautiful shore,
    Just to be near the dear Lord I adore,
    Will through the ages be glory for me.

    • Refrain:
      Oh, that will be glory for me,
      Glory for me, glory for me,
      When by His grace I shall look on His face,
      That will be glory, be glory for me.
  2. When, by the gift of His infinite grace,
    I am accorded in heaven a place,
    Just to be there and to look on His face,
    Will through the ages be glory for me.
  3. Friends will be there I have loved long ago;
    Joy like a river around me will flow;
    Yet just a smile from my Saviour, I know,
    Will through the ages be glory for me.

Amen.
