2 Corinthians 11:28; That Which Cometh Upon Me Daily

2 Corinthians 11:28 Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.

The Apostle Paul’s daily care was centred upon the believers that have come to faith in Jesus Christ, whom he had preached the gospel and the Lord had gloriously saved. These souls were gathered together to form local church congregations all over Asia Minor and also into Europe. The vast geographical distance made it forbidding for him to travel and meet these churches.

Here below is the relations of the Epistles to the Acts of the Apostles from Scroggie to provide a map for the orientation of the accounts in the book with the internals of the church given in the Epistles[1]:

He wrote many letters to encourage these the brethren that form the book of the New Testament with the exception of James, Jude, 1 and 2 Peter, 1-2-3 John and Revelation. Indeed, reading these letters reveal the care of the Apostle Paul for these churches from AD 52 – AD 68, over a period of 16 years. That is a lot of writing and many matters of concern in the various churches. Our text in 2 Corinthians is one good example for our understanding.

May the Lord bless His Word to the strengthening of His saints. Amen.
