Revelation 4:6; Sea of Glass
Revelation 4:6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
MacArthur said well, “Heaven is not a shadowy world of mists and indistinct apparitions. It is a world of dazzling brilliant light, refracting and shining as through jewels and crystal in a manner beyond our ability to describe or imagine.”
Revelation 21:10-11 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
Revelation 21:18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
Don Miller wisely said, “But we need a heavenly attitude – a reminder that our body might lie below the tombstone, but we’ll be in heaven in the presence of a loving God. … Having a heavenly or eternal perspective is about living in God’s plan for you so that you can experience a piece of heaven here and make your way to the glorious Kingdom that awaits you.”
Heaven is indeed real. A place for prepared people who placed their trust in God through Jesus Christ as the Apostle Paul said in Romans 5:1-2 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
May the prospect of heaven thrills our hearts. Amen.
