Revelation 6:16; Hide Us From the Face of Him that Sitteth on the Throne

Revelation 6:16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: 17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? 

Men knew at the sixth seal that the calamity they were facing came from God Almighty, seated in the throne of heaven and from the wrath of Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God.

The lamb is a harmless animal and yet here is described the wrath of the Lamb. Our Lord Jesus Christ in His Second Coming is a fierce Judge to the unrepentant. No man can withstand Him. None can escape the wrath to come.

The only safety is in submitting themselves to the coming King of kings and Lord of lords as the psalmist advised:

Psalm 2:12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish fromthe way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed areall they that put their trust in him.
