Revelation 11:6; Power to Smite the Earth with All Plagues

Revelation 11:6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. 

The two witnesses’ ministry is global, a world-wide ministry. They could smite the earth with all plagues. And as often as they will. What power is given to them.

For the disciples of Jesus, we are also empowered with Christ’s authority to fulfil the Great Commission:

Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. 

Christ’s power resides with us as we serve Him in the preaching of the gospel. As we abide in Christ, we experience the fullness of His presence and power in enabling us to fulfil the Great Commission.

John 15:7-8 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

We are given the authority and Holy Spirit enabling to fulfil the ministry because the mission is His and the glory is His. It is for us to humbly abide in Him and behold His power. The greatest miracle is the conversion of the hearts of men. May He give go forth to harvest for the field is white unto harvest.Amen.
