Psalm 118:24 A Day of Thanksgiving

Psalm 118:24 (KJV)  This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. 

On the day of the resurrection, the church commemorates the day of victory when Christ rose from the dead. What a glorious day!

The tears in the night have turned to joy in the morning. Dawn is the darkest hour before the daybreak. The first light breaks the eerieness of the dark to bring forth the life of a new day. The sun radiating its beams to light up and warm up the earth. The coldness is dispelled.

What glory to behold the empty tomb and to go and tell of the good news of the resurrection. It is exciting news to behold our risen Lord and to receive His Great Commission to send the light!

Let us joyously march on to victory! Let us declare the victory that death has lost its sting. Let teeming life with rejoicing and gladness be spread abroad. Amen.
