Psalm 42:1 My Soul Panteth After Thee, O God
Psalm 42:1 (KJV) To the chief Musician, Maschil, for the sons of Korah. As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
In God, life finds its fullness. The psalmist understood this truth. And the spirit within him yearns for unbroken sweet communion with his God. Therein is peace and joy.
In the wilderness, the supply of refreshing water may be hard to come by. The thirsty deer searches hard to find that source of water supply. It’s a matter of life and death.
The same is with the soul in its innate regenerated desire for spiritual refreshing.
Let us come to Him by opening our Bible to read and meditate upon it for nourishment, refreshing and strength. Amen.
