Psalm 125:3 God’s Protection Upon the Righteous
Psalm 125:3 (KJV) For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.
Noah and his family of eight were the only ones walking with the living and true God on earth when the judgment came. God ensured that they were not overwhelmed and overcome by the evil surrounding them. He knew how much they could take before they would capitulate. He ensures that they were not tried beyond what could bear.
There is stability in the lives of God’s people who walk in obedience to God’s Word and ways.
Psalm 125:1-2 (KJV) A Song of degrees. They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.
They trust Him. He protects them. God takes particular care of them so that they perish not with the wicked. He puts a distinction to shield them from His wrath.
It was only after Noah and his family board the ark that the water canopy in the skies broke and flood the earth. All praise and glory to Him. Amen.
