Psalm 94:22 Shelter and Protection

Psalm 94:22 (KJV)  But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

How was God the psalmist’s defence and refuge? He testifies to us that his God was there for him when he needed help.

Psalm 94:17-19 (KJV)  Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence. When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up. In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.  

He has experienced the goodness of God upholding him through the vicissitudes of life. Therefore he is comforted. He can call out to Him and He shall answer him. He has learned to look to no other but the LORD!

This was how David defeated Goliath and Joseph thrived in the solitude of prison life. God was with them. He was with their LORD. They abided in Him and found Him indeed their Shelter and Protection. Is He yours? Amen.
