Proverbs 4:18 The Path of the Just

Proverbs 4:18 (KJV)  But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. 

The Apostle Paul said in we are justified by faith (Romans 5:1). And by virtue of our justification, we may be called “the just”. Not by virtue of our own merits but the merits of Christ.

The life of Christ in us provides guidance and wisdom, a lamp to our feet and light to our paths. It is a protected path. It is a path where the sanctified of God draw closer to Him and His light shining through our life. That light shines more and more as we are enabled by the Spirit of God to follow ever closer.

The Apostle Paul says perfectly in Colossians 1:27… Christ in you, the hope of glory! The day of Christ, when we shall see Him face to face and we shall be like Him.

What a day of rejoicing that will be and meanwhile, each day with the Lord is better than the day before. Amen.
