Colossians 1:9 Filled With the Knowledge of His Will

Colossians 1:9 (KJV)  For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 

Here is a worthy prayer for the people of God that they may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. In all aspects of wisdom and spiritual understanding so as to be preserved and protected from all evil.

Divine knowledge is found in God’s revealed Word. He is appropriated with prayer and enlightenment comes by the illumination of the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 2:5-7 (KJV)  That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. 6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 

God hears the intercessory prayer for His people for spiritual blessings. Parents pray for their children and grandchildren, pastors for God’s people, God’s people pray one for another. This is the blessing of intercession. Amen.
