Ephesians 2:18 Access

Ephesians 2:18 (KJV)  For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. 

Through Jesus Christ, we have been accorded the blessing of communion with God. This is so because Jesus is God. He is also fully man. As a man, He represented man to reach God. As God, He represented God to reach man.

1 Timothy 2:5 (KJV)  For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 

1 Corinthians 8:6 (KJV)  But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. 

Jesus says to His disciples concerning the Holy Spirit’s work in aiding them to commune with God in John 14:16-18 (KJV)  And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
