Isaiah 63:9 He Bore and Carried Us

Isaiah 63:9 (KJV)  In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old. 

The care of Christ for His church cannot be properly understood until we come to His Word. Here we are told that Christ is able to understand and comprehend and feel the afflictions that we are going through.

In our affliction, our Lord was afflicted, is the truth given here. A good paraphrase is given in Hebrews 2:18 (KJV)  For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted. 

Also, in Hebrews 4:15 (KJV)  For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 

God acted swiftly to deliver and save His own. His love and sympathy for His suffering ones are assured.

He carries and bares us all throughout our lives. All praise to Him. Amen.
