Acts 4:20 Cannot But Speak

Acts 4:20 (KJV)  For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

A truthful witness will testify what he has seen and heard. This was Peter’s heartfelt conviction to testify Christ. He has denied the Lord during the time of Jesus’ trial. The cock’s crow exposed his cowardice to own Jesus as his Master.

He has seen the resurrected Christ. Jesus met him at the Sea of Galilee and caused his fishing net to find a full catch.

John 21:14 (KJV)  This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.

John 21:11-13 (KJV)  Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken. Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord. Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise.

Peter was an eye-witness to Jesus, truly the Son of God. He now boldly declare Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit that enabled him. All praise to God.

May the Lord bless the witness of the infallible Scriptures for the strengthening of our faith. Amen.
