1 John 5:5 The Overcomer’s Credential

1 John 5:5 (KJV)  Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? 

The overcomer’s credential, the triumphant faith that overcomes the world, is most precious! It saves us from many sorrows and heartaches and pains.

The veil is lifted that we may behold the secret of spiritual strength. It is he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God!

The depth of truth revealed in the Son of God is wisdom unlimited. Let us understand so that we may say like the prophet Zechariah, “not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts” (Zechariah 4:6).

1 John 2:16-17 (KJV)  For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
