Psalm 119:116 Upheld!

Psalm 119:116 (KJV)  Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope. 

The prayer of the psalmist was heard and upheld by the Lord. It was a prayer of faith undergirded by the divine writ of Scriptures. A sure foundation of wisdom for life. That we may live!

To live and not be in despair. To hope and not be ashamed. Only the Scripture promises with such surety and immovability of comfort for the arching heart.

The psalmist seemed to be crying throughout the psalm, yet at every grief, he was met with relief and refreshing from the Lord.

Thank God that we can safely rely upon Him this day as we begin the New Year of grace 2022. Amen.
