Proverbs 14:26-27 Refuge and Fountain of Life

Proverbs 14:26-27 (KJV)  In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge. The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death. 

The people of God who learn to fear or reverence God, render Him due honour and homage find shelter in Him and find life through Him.

Such is the safety and security of life with God. This was Job’s testimony, so was it Daniel’s testimony and so was it Joseph’s testimony.

There is strong confidence in the life of a man yielding wholly to God. He is thoroughly helped and nourished by Him. For out of the Lord, is death and destruction. May the people of God take heed to seek Him first in all things especially to honour Him on the Lord’s Day. Amen.
