John 6:35 Come to Jesus

John 6:35 (KJV)  And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Jesus holds the key to life and continuity of life. For He is the Giver of life – John 1:3-4 (KJV)  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. John 1:10 (KJV)  He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. John 1:12 (KJV)  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 

In this declaration, Jesus bids us come to Him for He is the Source of life and the perpetuation of life. All who come to Him shall never hunger. He has the ability to care for our daily needs. All who trust in Him shall never thirst.

How mortal men struggle on their own strength! Here is the offer of Jesus – Come to Him and be filled forevermore.

Jesus explains – John 6:31-33 (KJV)  Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat. Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

Let us, therefore, come to Jesus for through Him, we not only receive our daily bread from our Father in heaven but everlasting life through Him. Amen.
