Romans 6:22 Fruit Unto Holiness

Romans 6:22 (KJV)  But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. 

The spiritual fruit of the redeemed is a fruit characterized by holiness, a distinct character of God. Holiness is a state where one is made free from sin. And such a one become the servants of God. Life is a service for the honour and glory of God.

There is a glorious future to such a life. It is life without end, everlasting or eternal life. A most blessed state that is the outcome of one made free from the bondage of sin.

The price of sin has been paid for through Jesus Christ – Romans 6:23 (KJV)  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. 

This is the utmost blessing that can be bestowed on a creature of God. It is not given to the angels who have no hope for redemption when they fell, nor to the animals whose soul perishes when the body perishes. But for men, made in the image of God, this is gloriously bestowed to the humble receipient. Praise God! Praise God! Amen.
