Isaiah 35:10 Songs and Everlasting Joy
Isaiah 35:10 (KJV) And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
Songs and everlasting joy belong to the ransomed of the LORD who has their LORD with them. And their drawing to Him in worship symbolized as coming to Zion shall always be the happiest prospect.
The Apostle John saw it and wrote to this effect in Revelation 21:4 (KJV) And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Christ and His care for those He has purchased with His Sacrifice shall receive that utmost joy – Revelation 7:17 (KJV) For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
So can we learn from our Lord Christ – Hebrews 12:2 (KJV) Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Let sorrow and signing flee away, let joy and gladness be our portion as we draw near the fountain of life, our Lord Christ. Hallejujah! Amen.
