Christ’s Second Coming

There is a heaven and earth-shaking event that the world will witness in the coming days. It would take place when the Antichrist rule the world. An unprecedented world dictator will arise that will wield great political, economic, religious authority. He would have the army of the world at his command. He would legislate that every human upon planet earth cannot buy and sell unless they take on the mark of the beast. 

Revelation 13:13-18 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, 14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. 15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. 16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Since 14 May 1948, Israel has once again become a nation and has been occupying Jerusalem. Long before that, ancient Israel was destroyed and scattered by the Roman army in AD 70. 

Modern Israel has, since her independence, fought many wars against surrounding Arab nations. There will come a final world war, it will be between Israel and the rest of the world! It will be Israel and the people of God on the one side versus the nations of the world on the other. The armies of the world are led by Satan (dragon), the Antichrist (Beast), and the false prophet (Revelation 16:13-14). Israel will be no match for the power of the Antichrist and the armies of the world. But at the moment of their great distress, Israel’s Messiah, Jesus Christ, will come down from heaven to save a distraught Israel. The great unbelief on earth Just before Armageddon, regardless of special Gospel efforts, there will be great unbelief.

At the climax of the battle of Armageddon, Israel will repent and accept Jesus Christ as their Messiah, when Jesus will visibly return to defeat the nations of the world (Revelation 19:11-21).

In Revelation 19:15, we read of the Lord’s weapon of triumph, “And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.” What is this sharp sword? It is the spoken word of Christ unleashed to destroy the advancing armies of the world when He returns to establish His kingdom on earth. All physical and spiritual forces fighting against the sovereign rule of God their Creator will be dealt with, and utterly defeated by Christ. Amen.
