Isaiah 41:13-14 Fear Not
Isaiah 41:13-14 (KJV) For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
There is cause for fear in many a life circumstance when we do not look at it with the eyes of faith. For the redeemed of God’s people, there is no cause for fear. Our LORD said emphatically, “Fear not; I will help thee”.
What was the reason? The LORD said, “I will help thee”. And imagine being in panic mode. The world seemed to collapse around us, our text tells us, the LORD will hold our right hand, providing comfort and assurance, that He indeed is able to help.
The repeated phrase “fear not” provides us with an idea of the fearsome circumstance. It is interesting, that the people of God are addressed as “thou worm Jacob”. Truly, helpless, with a hopeless self-reliant disposition. As we commit our lives to our LORD God, He is going to undertake to help us.
Therefore, let His people not despair, but have faith. He will truly help. Bring your petitions to the throne. Amen.
