Proverbs 16:3 Commit Thy Works Unto the LORD
Proverbs 16:3 (KJV) Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
The proverb literally means that “a man transfers a burden from his own back to one stronger and better able to bear it.”
It is from the thoughts that the works are established. Here is the injunction to seek the will of God in all our endeavours. The LORD’s ways for the paths of blessing. We seek Him through His Word. We can do so with fervent prayer.
Jesus said Matthew 11:28-30 (KJV) Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
The easy yoke and light burden we shall experience as we come to the LORD. He not only guides our paths but He also shows us the best way for our greatest good. Amen.
