Ephesians 1:7 The Riches of His Grace
Ephesians 1:7 (KJV) In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
Christ was wounded for our transgressions. It was for our sake that He was wounded. For our sake was His blood poured out. The word “redemption” is literally, an action a buying back of a slave or captive through payment of a ransom; hence setting free, release.
Romans 3:24 (KJV) Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
How is it called the riches of His grace?
1 Corinthians 1:30 (KJV) But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
Not only does Christ sets us free from sin, we are bestowed by the riches of His grace and also God’s wisdom, Christ’s righteousness and made more and more holy in the sight of God, setting us apart for His glory.
May God’s people shine for Him. Amen.
