Nahum 1:7 He Knoweth Them That Trust in Him

Nahum 1:7 (KJV)  The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. 

There is great comfort for God’s people who resorted to Him. For He is good, the prophet Naham declared, a stronghold in the day of trouble. He proved Himself mighty for His people who call upon Him.

We are identified and sealed as His very own for care and protection. He knows us intimately.

The word “stronghold” speaks of a place or means of safety. He is our safety. He protects His people. The word “trust” means “to seek refuge”.

Truly, the name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. Proverbs 18:10 (KJV)

Let us recommend Him to our posterity – Psalm 100:5 (KJV)  For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
