Psalm 116:1-2 He Hath Heard
Psalm 116:1-2 (KJV) I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.
The psalmist is able to attest to the blessing that the LORD has heard his prayers. Here, it is phrased as “my voice and my supplication.” He heard his own voice literally crying out to the LORD for help and the specific request that he made at the throne of grace.
His prayer was heard, his prayer was answered, and his love for the LORD was kindered. A flame that glows amidst his afflictions. A flame that he attested will burn for a lifetime. Such was the consecration and the depth of understanding of his need and how it was met. He was deeply grateful for the goodness of the LORD that came upon him.
He will not be discouraged by each affliction that may come his way because he found the way out of life’s trials. It is in the LORD.
Jesus exhorted His disciples in John 16:33 (KJV) These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Amen.
