James 1:5 Let Him Ask of God

James 1:5 (KJV)  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 

Wisdom needed? Let us come to God and ask. He is ready to dispense wisdom for He is the fountain of all wisdom. By Him, all things consist and by Him, all things continue. He does not withhold help from all who seek Him.

The exhortation to ask comes with the promise of receiving so that there should be no reluctance and unwillingness and lethargy to bring our request to Him.

Is any tempted? Let him ask of the Lord, the way of deliverances. Is any sorrowful? Let him ask of the Lord, He brings comfort and consolation. There is no lack for God’s people who have Him as our Good Shepherd.
