1 Corinthians 1:9 Called Unto Fellowship

1 Corinthians 1:9 (KJV)  God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. 

The context of God’s faithfulness is His persevering power in preserving His people as is revealed in 1 Corinthians 1:8 (KJV)  Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 

When we come into fellowship with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, He sees to it that we will be preserved blameless in the day when our Lord returns to receive His church to glory. That is the consummation of our faith.

But that fellowship with Christ begins the moment He awakens our conscience to receive Him, putting away all idols, taking hold of His righteousness. It is a blessed fellowship when we find our bearing for life.

Let us cherish our fellowship with Christ in this new day. Amen.
