Romans 6:18, 22 Being Then Made Free From Sin
Romans 6:18, 22 (KJV) Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. 22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
Being free from sin by faith in Christ’s atoning work, we become servants of righteousness. The Lord grant that His people walk in righteousness to His glory.
The fruit of holiness manifests when sin is put away and the Spirit’s life prevails. This is the blessing of heaven on earth. This is the supernatural life that the world longs to possess. This is the witness that God’s people are called to bear.
There is a blessed starting point or endpoint to the Spirit-filled or Spirit-full life, it is eternal life. A blessing that we cannot fully fathom but a blessing that opens up at life’s most trying moments – sickness and death. All praise to God. Amen.
