Psalm 28:7 With My Song Will I Praise Him

Psalm 28:7 (KJV)  The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. 

The psalmist extols his communion with the LORD. He is his strength and shield, his Enabler and Protector. He trusts the LORD. He has experienced help from the LORD where help was wont in every quarter in those moments of need.

His soul cannot but magnify the LORD. With song will he utter his praises to Him. It is a joyful and joyous life, strong and stable. He knew the LORD is with him alway. The joy in his heart was great. It is amplified by the sheer magnitude of difficulty he was in and yet the LORD delivered him.

He has tasted the goodness of God and his heart is filled full with gratitude and thanksgiving. Amen.
