Psalm 31:24 Be of Good Courage

Psalm 31:24 (KJV)  Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD. 

Courage is needed to live the Christian life. This courage comes from the LORD for He works to strengthen our hearts so that we can be courageous. The battle against sin and unrighteousness is stark. There is much at stake.

The psalmist cries out to the LORD seeking His strength to persevere – Psalm 31:1 (KJV)  To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness. 

Is there not a cause? Indeed, there is. He is convinced in his heart. Therefore, he exhorts us to may be engaged in our day and time in this battle to take heart. Amen.
