Proverbs 24:3-4 Building A Sure House

Proverbs 24:3-4 (KJV)  Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established: And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches. 

God’s wisdom is needed to build a sure house. The house is personified by one building his own life relying upon God’s wisdom. God’s Word must be read with much prayer, seeking the Holy Spirit to grant the understanding. Only when we are illuminated by the Spirit to understand the sense of God’s Word can one properly put it into practice.

The Holy Spirit establishes God’s wisdom in our hearts to guide our lives. Our decision-making, and discernment to understand what God would have us to know concerning the matters happening around us. The Holy Spirit also bears its fruits in our lives, these may be likened to all precious and pleasant riches that furnish the house.

As such, believers need to spend precious time in the meditation and study of God’s Word day and night, in such doing, we may make our way prosperous and we shall have good success. Amen.
