Psalm 37:5 Commit Thy Way Unto the LORD

Psalm 37:5 (KJV)  Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. 

The word “commit” means “to roll off” our burden unto the LORD. Hand it to the LORD. Jesus said Matthew 11:28 (KJV)  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

The efficacy of prayer is being enunciated here – Philippians 4:6 (KJV)  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 

“Be careful for nothing” has that meaning of committing our cares to the LORD. Believers should not be stressed with life but let the LORD help us by bring our specific prayers to Him and trusting Him to order all things well. Amen.
