Psalm 37:7 Rest in the LORD – The 377A of Scripture
Psalm 37:7 (KJV) Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
The people of God are exhorted to rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him to act. Be not perturbed by the strength of those who go against the law of God. It is most frightening to see men going against the law of God having known His laws.
Hebrews 10:26-27 (KJV) For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
The deliberate, intentional and purposeful move to remove God’s law will not go before Him unnoticed. He sees and weeps and will deal with the matter.
This is a comforting and assuring verse for God’s people who are praying that Section 377A of the Singapore law will not be compromised and taken down.
The Lord provided Psalm 37:7a to strengthen our hearts to wait upon God to act against those who bring wicked devices to pass.
May the people of God not fret but wait patiently for Him. He will vindicate His own Name. Amen.
