Psalm 107:6-7 Praise the LORD for His Goodness
Psalm 107:7-8 (KJV) And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation. Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
It was a distressing situation for the people of God but the LORD was there to meet their needs – Psalm 107:4-5 (KJV) They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in. Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
By His Word, through His Spirit, wisdom is brought forth so that the distress of God’s people is cared for by the LORD. He led them forth by the right way. Truly, His paths are right paths, His ways are right ways. From the wilderness, the people of God are brought forth to a city of habitation. Israel was brought to enter the land of Promise and sheltered and taken care of in the land flowing with milk and honey.
Can we not extol His goodness after receiving good from Him? Surely, we must! Let us do so that the wonderful works of God are sounded forth that others knowing may come and seek Him, finding in Him their all-sufficiency. Amen.
