1 John 1:4-5 Fullness of Joy
1 John 1:4-5 (KJV) And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
Come to God in Christ and there is fullness of joy. In Him, is light and the light is the life of men. And the light shineth in the darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. The Ligh of the worldt, our Lord Jesus Christ, was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew him not.
He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name, which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
1 John 1:2 (KJV) (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
Salvation from the ravages of sin and eternal life is our portion now and forever. This is surely joy in the fullest for the ravages of disease and sickness cannot disannul the promise of a glorious, incorruptible body promised to God’s people and a mansion in the near completion for our abode. Surely, we must look forward with the fullness of joy and live in the light of eternity right now, sharing this joy with those who needed it in a very sad world. Amen.
