Isaiah 32:17 Peace, Quietness and Assurance

Isaiah 32:17 (KJV)  And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. 

The prophet Isaiah describes life with God as finding true peace, quietness and assurance for the soul. Such a life is so precious, for its effect last forever. The Spirit of God enables this work and blesses it. It is called the work of righteousness because it is wrought in righteousness by the power of God in us.

With the Almighty God leading the way, no enemy can sever God’s people from fulfiling God’s will, as they yield themselves to His leading.

Proverbs 1:33 (KJV)  But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil. 

For the godless, there is a fearful awaiting of judgment.

Proverbs 1:27 (KJV)  When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. 

Coming to Jesus Christ, who is our righteousness, brings us into that blessed fellowship and communion. Let us bless His Holy Name. Amen.
